The Boston Red Sox signed Alex Bregman last offseason, and he has opted out of his deal after just one season. He is one of the best free agents available this winter, and will not be cheap to re-sign.
Bregman had a great year for the Red Sox, being named an All-Star for the first time since 2019. He opted out of his three-year, $120 million deal, which means he thinks he can get more than the $80 million he had remaining on it.
Many teams may be trying to get Bregman, but Bleacher Report’s Zachary D. Rymer predicted on Thursday that he would get a six-year, $150 million deal from the Red Sox. Re-signing Bregman to a long-term deal would be a great move for the Red Sox.
