Florida basketball’s Alex Condon took full ownership for a lackluster performance in the Gators’ season-opener loss to Arizona.
The big man challenged himself and responded with a double-double night in the Gators’ 104-64 win over North Florida on Thursday, Nov. 6.
“Yeah, after my ankle injury last year I don’t think I was the same player before that,” Condon said. “I think I just got back to those ways of ‘my ankle is sore’. But there’s no excuses now, it’s my third year here.”
The junior didn’t hold back on how critical he was of his own performance either.
“I just got to have the mindset that I’m a leader of this team,” Condon said. “What I expect from the other guys I got to expect for myself. No excuses.”
