Dasmesh Khalsa, a Sikh faith-based learning school that opened in Cambridge last year, continues to report a growing demand.
Founded by Bhai Sahib Kulbir Singh Ji in 2018, with its first branch in Brampton, the school quickly drew the attention of families in Kitchener and Cambridge. After the founder’s death in 2021, the project is being led by his son, Inderbir Singh.
“When we were promoting our Brampton school in early 2024, a lot of families from the area — Kitchener and especially Cambridge — approached us requesting a school bus,” said principal Singh. “Around 20 parents were ready for an hour to an hour-and-a-half of travel, so their kids could attend our school.”
