Cambridge planning staff are making changes to how they present development applications — a move that comes after confusion over timelines led to a case being appealed to the Ontario Land Tribunal.
In that case, the city missed a key deadline earlier this year related to a proposed 28-storey residential tower at 32, 36 and 38 Grand Ave. S.
At Tuesday night’s statutory public meeting, acting director of planning Sarah Austin announced that staff will now include a new slide during every public meeting related to development files.
The slide will provide information on when the application was deemed complete, council’s deadline to make a decision and the closest scheduled council meeting to that deadline.
