Undercover police officers in Lanarkshire busted two wanted males yesterday who were travelling in a stolen vehicle.

A pursuit occurred on Hamilton Road in Cambuslang at around 11am on November 6 after two plain clothes officers spotted two individuals who were wanted for various serious offences.

The pair were travelling in a stolen vehicle which was brought to a stop and both suspects were arrested at the scene.

During a search of the vehicle officers recovered a machete, concealed knife, a quantity of controlled drugs and cloned vehicle registration plates.

The officers have been praised for their 'proactive work' and for keeping 'communities safe and violent offenders off the streets'.
