The cause of a death of a 59-year-old who is believed to have been murdered has been confirmed. Hamid Tawaab , 59, was found unconscious at his home in Fern Court, Huntingdon in the evening of January 20, 2025.
A friend of Mr Tawaab alerted emergency services that he was unresponsive and when ambulance crews arrived, he experienced a cardiac arrest. He was later pronounced dead.
Mr Tawaab’s cause of death has now been confirmed. In an appeal for information, Crimestoppers said a post-mortem report confirmed Mr Tawaab died from “blunt force trauma to his head, chest and abdomen”.
As part of the investigation, Cambridgeshire Police arrested a 35-year-old on suspicion of murder, and later a 17-year-old from Huntingdon on suspicion of the same offence. These have both since been r
