T.F. Green International Airport was not among the 40 airports ordered to reduce flights, but the mandate is having a ripple effect on other airports

Flight cancellations have already started at T.F. Green International Airport Friday morning, Nov. 7, as travelers feel the impact of mandated flight reductions at major airports across the country.

"As stated yesterday , every airport in the country will experience impacts due to the FAA flight reduction mandate. Yesterday operations were normal at the airport; today we are experiencing our first flight cancellations," airport spokesman Bill Fischer said in a statement. "Again, this is a fluid situation that may vary day-to-day as airlines make decisions to comply with the reduction mandate."
