The new 3p pay-per-mile car tax will be increased to a staggering 28p for some drivers, it has been warned. According to The Telegraph , Chancellor Rachel Reeves is considering a new pay-per-mile tax that will be applied to EVs, which could cost motorists up to £250 extra a year.
Typical charging costs based on the average efficiency (3.18 miles per kWh) of all the different models and versions of EV tested by EV show public ultra-rapid charging costs 25p per mile.
With the new 3p pay-per-mile car tax from the Labour Party government, it means road users will be shelling out 28p.
