Enrollments are up this fall at many of the region’s colleges and universities, with some campuses seeing the biggest freshman classes since the pandemic. Some universities are seeing growth with online programs, and others are adding new classes to help attract students.
The University of North Dakota’s official fall 2025 enrollment count has hit 15,844, a nearly 5.5% increase over last year’s enrollment. North Dakota State University saw steady enrollment with 11,952 students, and University of Mary welcomed a record-breaking class of 1,296 students. Lake Region State College also saw an increase, with 1,916 students this fall, compared to 1,897 last year.
