GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Greenville County Councilman Dan Tripp confirmed he will not run for reelection.

Tripp was first elected to council in 2018. He served district 28 which covers most of Mauldin, Simpsonville and the Five Forks area.

Tripp was recently the council chairman and one of the leading voices of the penny sales tax, which voters shot down in 2024.
