In a major development for the renewable energy sector, Premier Energies, one of India’s leading solar cell and module manufacturers, has decided to shift its massive solar project from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh. The company will invest ₹1,700 crore to set up a large-scale solar manufacturing facility in Naidupeta Industrial Park, Nellore district.

The upcoming facility will include a 4 GW TOPCon solar PV cell manufacturing unit and an additional 5 GW silicon ingot and wafer production plant. This major move highlights Andhra Pradesh’s growing reputation as a business-friendly state with strong industrial policies and fast execution.
