SOUTHBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- A vacant apartment unit was damaged after a fire Friday morning at Heritage Village in Southbury, according to fire officials.
The fire happened just after 5 a.m. in the area of East Hill Road.
The fire has been contained, but as of 7:30 a.m., clouds of smoke were billowing from the apartment.
News 8 obtained video of the blaze from the Southbury Fire Department, showing part of a building fully engulfed with plumes of smoke.
Woodbury, Sandy Hook, and Oxford fire crews responded to the blaze.
Fire officials said no one was injured in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
