BISMARCK, N.D. (KXNET) — Julie Schirado from the Furry Friends Rockin' Rescue braved the cold and the winds to introduce everyone to Burleigh, her little kitten companion.

Burleigh is what Schirado called a "tuxedo cat" because of his black and white coloration. He's an energetic bundle of fur who want s to purr on everyone's shoulders. He's still only about 5 months old. but he's ready to explore the world.

Next weekend everyone can have a chance to help out a furry friend of their own. Send-It in Mandan will be hosting "Darts For Dogs & Cornhole For Cats" on Saturday, November 15. Registration starts at noon for "Darts For Dogs" with the event happening an hour later. And for "Cornhole For Cats" registration opens at 3 p.m. with the event starting at 4 p.m.

Of course, anyone can stop
