A man has been accused of driving a school bus while over the alcohol limit. Norfolk Police were called to reports a school bus was being driven "erratically" on Wednesday afternoon (November 5) in the Terrington St Clement area.

Officers arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of drink driving . Since then, Stuart Beecham, 50, of Opportune Road, Wisbech has been charged with driving a motor vehicle while over the limit of alcohol.

He has been bailed to appear at King’s Lynn Magistrates Court on December 18, 2025.

A police spokesperson said: “Police were called on Wednesday afternoon to reports that a school bus was being driven erratically in the Terrington St Clement area.

"A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation
