A Johnson County Sheriff's Deputy has pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated.
Cody O'Hare, 46, of Tiffin, was charged with operating while intoxicated after he was pulled over for failing to stop at a stop sign shortly after 11 p.m. on Aug. 23.
He was pulled over by a Johnson County Sheriff's Deputy, prompting an Iowa State Patrol trooper to continue investigating the incident. O'Hare refused sobriety tests and a pre-arrest breath test. According to police, he had a "strong smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from him."
A department spokesperson said O'Hare was off duty when the arrest was made. He was placed on administrative leave.
