Today, starting at 10:30 a.m., Ottawa city council will begin the final debate on whether or not to move ahead with the Lansdowne 2.0 redevelopment plan. Article content
The vote comes after several weeks of contentious meetings and plenty of public input. Article content Article content
The $419-million plan would see a new event centre built in the end zone of TD Place, and the replacement of the north side stands. New retail and condo towers are also planned for the site.
The deal would also reset the terms with the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group, which currently operates the site and owns the Redblacks and 67’s.
