An 18-year-old Rutgers freshman was killed in a crash in New Brunswick on Thursday, Oct. 30, authorities said.
At 11:58 p.m., officers responded to Route 18 after Anthony Hanna lost control of his vehicle and struck a utility pole, New Brunswick police said. Officers arrived to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames, police said.
Hannah was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A Marlboro High School graduate, Hannah was studying mechanical engineering at Rutgers, according to his Linkedin.
He is survived by his parents, David and Dalia and his siblings, Nicholas and Julianne, along with numerous other family members and friends, according to his obituary from Ruby Memorial Home.
A funeral was held Tuesday, Nov. 4 and he was buried at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery, his obituary reads.
