Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday said India can truly become a Vishwaguru only when it rekindles the spirit of humanity within itself and others.

Speaking at a private function in Bengaluru to mark the 25th anniversary of the Nele Foundation, Bhagwat said the essence of India’s leadership lies not in power or wealth, but in empathy, compassion, and the ability to care for others.

“We can become a Vishwaguru only when we light the lamp of humanity within ourselves and in others as well," Bhagwat said. “If we want to become the world’s guru, we first need to understand and appreciate what they have, and then share with them what we possess that they may not have."
