The province’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating after an OPP officer shot an Anti-Riot Weapon ENfield (ARWEN) at a 48-year-old man in Haldimand County yesterday.
Officers were called just before 4 p.m. on Thursday to a Selkirk residence in response to a reported disturbance.

Information from the SIU said the man was shot with ARWEN projectiles during his arrest.
The SIU says the man was apprehended and taken to hospital but wasn’t seriously injured.
