The multi-media performance will blend live storytelling and music with projected images and short films. Downes, who has written eight books, will accompany his tales on 6- and 12-string guitars, with percussionist Mark Cantrell joining him on stage.
Presented in a cabaret-style setting, the show will feature stories including “Murthy, the rogue elephant of India,” “Wild women and femme fatales,” “The fate of the Potawatomi,” “Michigan’s hell-bound train,” “Willow and the wolf,” “Cannibals of Tasmania” and “A ghost in the forest.”
Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is by free-will donation or the purchase of a signed book.
