A video went viral on social media, showing a woman attempting to rob a jewellery store in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad by throwing chilli powder in the owner’s eyes. The woman was in for a rude shock as the shop owner quickly pinned her down and aggressively slapped her at least 17 times.

The jewellery store is located in Ahmedabad’s Ranip area. The woman, with her face partially concealed with a dupatta, entered the store and sat in front of the owner, pretending to be a customer. She suddenly threw chilli powder at him in an alleged attempt to rob the store.

However, she did not calculate the owner’s quick reflexes, who not only dodged the attack in seconds, but caught hold of her, pinned her down and slapped her viciously at least 17 times, before dragging her out of the store.
