DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN)-- Law enforcement converged on a house in Houston County Friday morning after a man barricaded himself inside, according to authorities.
Investigators with the Houston County Sheriff's Office tell WDHN that incident started when deputies attempted to serve civil papers to a man on Flowers Chapel Road.
Authorities say the man barricaded himself inside and deputies made several attempts to speak to the man inside the home.
The initial call from law enforcement came down at 9:30 a.m. and reported that a suspect had set fire to the home after locking himself inside.
Video from the scene shows heavy smoke spilling from a home surrounded by first responders.
