BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The Bryan Police Department (BPD) is alerting the community to a phone scam where the caller claims to be a BPD employee with an arrest warrant.

According to a post on social media, BPD said it has received multiple reports of the phone scam, “where if you call the number back, the voicemail is set up to be an employee of BPD and asks you to leave your information.”

BPD said it will not call to inform you of a warrant.
