A former Marine Corps recruiter from Tupelo will spend the next 20 years behind bars for using his position to sexually abuse minors between the ages of 16 and 18 years old.

The First Circuit District Attorney’s Office announced in a press release that Brady Patrick Dean, 25, pleaded guilty to six counts of sexual battery of a child while in the position of trust or authority.

At the time of the offenses, Dean was a staff sergeant in the Marine Corps and working as a recruiter at local high schools. According to the release, there were three victims who came forward.

Dean was arrested in September 2024 after the Tupelo Police Department received a report that Dean had taken a minor to his home on multiple occasions and had sexual intercourse with the victim.
