Ole Miss earned another commanding victory in the early regular season, defeating Louisiana-Monroe 86-65 on Friday night.
AJ Storr scored 19 points and connected on four of six shots from three-point range. His efforts, along with a strong showing from point guard Ilias Kamardine, boosted the Rebels to a relatively seamless win against the Warhawks. Kamardine had 15 points and seven assists in the matchup.
Ole Miss jumped off to a 7-0 lead in the first two minutes of action but cooled offensively, allowing Louisiana-Monroe to cut the deficit to two points with 11:58 on the clock. The Rebels, fueled by a triple from Storr and seven straight points from Kamardine off of three Warhawk turnovers, rebuilt their scoreboard advantage. At halftime, Ole Miss led 47-28.
