The Newnan-Coweta History Center will host a special Veterans Day program on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6:30 p.m. as part of its ongoing “3rd Thursday Lecture Series.”
The event, held at the University of West Georgia lecture hall in Newnan, will feature a panel discussion with local Vietnam veterans, moderated by local author and historian Steve Quesinberry.
As America marks the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, the evening will provide an opportunity to hear firsthand stories and reflections from those who served. Organizers noted that as veterans from earlier conflicts such as World War II and Korea pass on, it is vital to preserve the experiences of those who fought in Vietnam, a war that deeply divided the nation and left lasting impacts on those who served.
