At Taste of Japan Sushi & Hibachi Buffet , diners can help themselves from more than 45 feet of food.
The restaurant opened Oct. 28 at the former Fusion Fire Asian Restaurant at 3421 Simpson Ferry Road in Hampden Township.
Taste of Japan taps into the newest all-you-can-eat Asian restaurant trend with diverse, and healthier menu options beyond traditional buffet fare.
Partner Jimmy Lin said diners appreciate the value, extensive selection and convenience.
“I know everybody who comes here is hungry,” he said, adding that at traditional hibachi restaurants diners have to wait for food.
Lin and his two friends, Tony Huang and Chen Hui—who grew up in China—partnered to open the restaurant.
