A bridge in upper Dauphin County that had been closed earlier this year has reopened.

The bridge on Tourist Park Road (Route 4006) in Halifax Twp. is open to traffic, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The bridge at the intersection with Middle Road (between Route 147 and Route 225), was closed because of deterioration discovered during an inspection.

The Dauphin County PennDOT maintenance organization replaced the structure. The detour has been lifted.
