HALEIWA (HawaiiNewsNow) - One man had to be extricated from a car after a crash in Haleiwa.
Honolulu Fire Department received the 911 call at 1:36 a.m., and responded to the crash on Kamehameha Highway near Police Beach in Haleiwa.
The first unit arrived on scene at 1:43 a.m. with the Honolulu Police Department already on scene, and reported an auto accident involving one vehicle with two occupants.
One of the occupants, a man in his 60s, was still trapped in the vehicle.
HFD personnel stabilized the vehicle and used hydraulic rescue tools to extricate the occupant and transferred medical care to the Honolulu Emergency Services at approximately 2:25 a.m.
HFD personnel secured the scene and transferred command to the HPD.
