The nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards are set to be revealed on Friday morning.

Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of The Recording Academy, opened Grammys voting season today with a star-studded stream of recorded nomination announcements. Sabrina Carpenter appeared in curls; Sam Smith at a piano; Sharon Osbourne and her children appeared together to announce best rock album and best metal performance, both previously won by Ozzy Osbourne, who died this summer .

Chappell Roan appeared with a pep talk for the Best New Artist nominees, which included Addison Rae and Lola Young. Doechii introduced spoken word and rap album, where the nominees included GloRilla, Tyler, The Creator and Kendrick Lamar.
