ORANGE, Texas — A 48-year-old Southeast Texas man has been indicted for murder and aggravated sexual assault in connection with the August 2025 death of a 61-year-old woman found inside a Vidor home.

Following what officials described as a lengthy and thorough investigation, an Orange County grand jury on Wednesday indicted Adrian C. Echevarria, 48, on charges of murder and aggravated sexual assault in the death of Bami Elizabeth Carmane, according to a news release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. He was arraigned Thursday. His bond was set at $2 million for the murder charge and $500,000 for the aggravated sexual assault charge.
