JEFFERSON COUNTY, Texas — Law enforcement agencies from local, state and federal jurisdictions conducted a coordinated crime suppression operation across Jefferson County during the week of Nov. 7, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
The operation, called "Operation Cold Front," focused on areas with high rates of violent crime and narcotic trafficking. Officers made contact with suspects through traffic stops, foot patrols and arrests at residences.
The operation resulted in 176 traffic stops and 66 arrests. Officers executed 29 felony warrants and 13 misdemeanor warrants during the weeklong initiative, Capt. Crystal Holmes of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office stated in a press release.
Drug seizures included:
90.31 grams of methamphetamine
14 grams of heroin and
