The National Weather Service has been tracking the possibility of snowfall in the Des Moines area.

Weather officials are forecasting a chance of rain and snow on Saturday, Nov. 8, when the nighttime low will drop to 25 degrees.

Des Moines will likely see less than an inch of snow, according to the National Weather Service. The capital city has a 12% chance of seeing at least 0.1 inches of snow as of Friday morning.
