Kyle Orton is officially part of Iowa high school football history.

The Iowa High School Athletic Association announced on Friday that Orton – a former Southeast Polk standout quarterback – was selected to the 2025 Football Hall of Fame, alongside five other honorees.

Orton boasts an impressive resume that stems back to his time at Southeast Polk. He recorded 3,176 passing yards and 24 touchdowns in a Rams uniform, including throwing for 1,366 yards and a dozen scores during his senior campaign.

He continued his career at Purdue and threw for nearly 9,000 yards over four years. He was selected by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL draft, and Orton appeared in 87 NFL games between 2005-14 – compiling 18,037 passing yards and 101 touchdowns during stops in Chicago, Den
