MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) - Firefighters extinguished two fully involved campers before they could spread further around midnight on Friday.

The Palisade Fire Department, East Orchard Mesa Fire and Clifton Fire Protection District responded to the blaze in the 500 block of 36 3/4 Road in East Orchard Mesa.

After arriving at the scene, crews kept the fire from spreading, according to the Palisade Fire Department.

The occupants were able to get out safely. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire wasn't specified.
