A fast-moving house fire tore through a Maryland home Friday afternoon, leaving one person seriously hurt, officials said.
Prince George’s County Fire/EMS crews responded shortly before 12:30 p.m. to the 3200 block of La Dova Way in Springdale, where heavy flames were showing from the front of a one-story brick home, according to the department.
Firefighters quickly attacked the blaze and brought it under control. One person was taken to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, fire officials confirmed.
Photos from the scene showed thick smoke and flames shooting from a front window as firefighters worked to douse the fire.
Fire investigators remain on scene to determine the cause.
