BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra is set to honor local veterans by presenting “An American Salute” on Saturday.
“An American Salute” is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at Dignity Health Theater, according to organizers.
The performance will feature festive marches and stirring classics, including John Williams’ “Hymn to the Fallen,” Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture,” Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever" and more, BSO said.
According to BSO, the program intends to honor the spirit of those who have served and showcase the power and pride of American music in a tribute to courage, freedom and unity.
