BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — For the big birds, it was a tough 12-day, 1-5 away stretch to start the year. The trip dropped them to 3-6 on the year, two losses in overtime, with 8 points to their name, placing them 8th in the Pacific Division.

"It's part of this league sometimes. You've got to go out for large blocks of time, this was our turn," said Associate Coach Keith McCambridge. "We didn't love the results coming out of it, but we feel our identity as a team is starting to take shape."

Long road trips are necessary sometimes too, and not just for scheduling reasons. Coach McCambridge himself mentioned for young teams like the Condors, spending time away from home, with each other, is good for camaraderie.
