COLUMBIA, Mo. - A University of Missouri student was charged Wednesday after two alleged incidents of assault on campus.
According to the probable cause statements, at around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 29, police were called to the school's Virginia Avenue lot for a report of a man pushing a woman to the ground.
Maxwell Warren, 18, told officers that the victim hit him inside a bar, his car, and chased him, which led to him pushing the victim down in the lot. Surveillance cameras captured the incident, police said. The footage did not match his claim.
Records say the victim was trying to leave before being chased by Warren. A truck pulled up to the scene, intervened, and the victim left with them.
