Princess Anne will arrive in Australia this week for official visits to Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

The Princess Royal's arrival comes amid intense scrutiny of the royal family sparked by her brother King Charles's decision to strip former prince Andrew Mountbatten Windsor of his titles.

Anne will be visiting Australia in her role as Colonel-in-Chief to the Royal Australian Corps of Signals, the Australian Defence Force said in a statement.

The visit is to mark 100 years since the formation of the corps.

Princess Anne will be accompanied by her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, for her first trip to Australia since 2022.
