INDIANAPOLIS — Donations are starting at collection boxes on the campus of Marian University for the Salvation Army's Angel Tree Project .
The university says it wants to make sure kids have access to educational toys and books this holiday season.
Unused and unwrapped books can be dropped off at the collection boxes around campus or at the football game Saturday morning.
Marian University chancellor Dr. Kenith Britt says this is the first time they are doing the Angel Tree Project and that the cause is something very close to his heart.
"I was an Angel Tree kid. My family benefited from the Salvation Army's Angel Tree generosity. And I'll never forget the generosity of the people that gave me at the time something I was so looking forward to, which was this sweatshirt," Britt said. "A
