The unemployment rate in the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula region experienced a slight decrease in October and now sits at the lowest rate in the province, new numbers from the Four County Labour Market Planning Board reveal.

This slight dip was largely driven by the services sector, which saw a six per cent increase in employment last month.

“This month’s report is very positive with a huge gain in overall employment,” said Dana Soucie, the executive director for the Four County Labour Market Planning Board.
