STATEWIDE -- Job openings in Maine are slowing but remain solid.
That’s according to a new National Federation of Independent Businesses report on small businesses released today.
It found that for the second straight month, 32 percent of small business owners in Maine had job openings that they could not fill.
Before August. The last time unfilled job openings hit 32 percent was in December 2020.
NFIB Maine state director David Clough says “As we approach the busy holiday season, Main Street owners are hopeful the hiring challenges will ease and the labor market will strengthen in Maine.”
