Shelby Township police have asked local residents to avoid the area of Ryan and Auburn roads in the north end of the township this afternoon.

Channel 7 (WXYZ-TV) reported a double homicide happened at an auto shop.

“Please avoid the area of Ryan and Auburn due to a police matter that is still under investigation. We’ll provide updates when the area is clear,” a message on the department’s Facebook page stated Friday afternoon.
