KNOX COUNTY, Ohio — The son of two New Albany megachurch leaders, who was indicted on nearly three dozen sex charges earlier this year, is out of jail after a judge lowered his bond on Thursday.
The judge lowered Gary Thomas Keesee Jr.’s bond from $2 million to $1 million on Thursday, according to Knox County court records. Records say he posted bond the same day.
Keesee is facing a total of 32 charges — 13 counts of rape, 14 counts of gross sexual imposition and five counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. He has pleaded not guilty.
Licking County Prosecutor Jenny Wells said Keesee Jr. held a variety of roles at the church over the years, but the accusations date back to long before he served on the leadership team.
