MINOT — Applied Digital is a data center company that has constructed two major projects in North Dakota and is pursuing a third in Harwood. Or, I should say, near Harwood, but also near Fargo, with the latter city, suffering as it is from budget shortfalls, working hard to annex the land the project will be built on and thus the tax revenues it will generate.

Applied Digital opposes Fargo's annexation, desiring instead to work with Harwood. Fargo has a hearing planned on the annexation question for Monday. On Friday, Applied Digital representative Nick Phillips submitted an official objection for the hearing, which lays out the company's case against it alongside some brutal criticism of Fargo leaders.
