GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Days after announcing a partnership with Lambeau Field's food service provider Delaware North, Rooted In Inc. got to work on their deal.
The nonprofit, founded and run by Selena Darrow, hosted an emergency Cooking for the Community event on Friday, using over 200 pounds of food that it recovered from Delaware North at Lambeau Field to prepare hundreds of individually packed meals for families.
"We're thrilled to have this partnership with Delaware North," Darrow said. "We recovered about 215 pounds of food from gameday this past week. A lot of the bases of what we can use are other ingredients to make bigger portions."
