New Jersey residents who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program — or SNAP — should be able to use their EBT cards to get their much-needed benefits again, according to state officials.

A Nov. 7 statement from the state’s Human Services Commissioner, Sarah Adelman, confirmed that the funding had been issued for November.

“We are relieved to share that Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits for November are now fully funded,” she said. “This unprecedented delay left hundreds of thousands of New Jerseyans without food for their families. While it shouldn’t have come to this, I am grateful for the court’s intervention requiring the federal government to reopen this necessary food assistance."
