LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Friday was the second full day of the National Transportation Safety Board’s investigation and the third since the deadly crash at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.
The crash of UPS flight 2976 has left 13 people dead with nine others unaccounted for.
Investigators tell the media that the MD-11’s left engine fell off during the critical V2 to roll phase. The pilots were unable to abort take off. The plane then rolled before it crashed into two businesses creating a giant fireball.
On Nov. 7, the NTSB released video of aerial drone footage showing the charred trail of damage.
