SARASOTA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - World-renowned high-wire artists Nik Wallenda and his sister Lijana Wallenda will attempt the first-ever Criss Cross Skywalk during University Town Center’s Santa’s Grand Arrival Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 8.

The holiday season kicks off on the Suncoast with festivities starting at 4 p.m. The wire walk will happen at 6 p.m., suspended high above Cattlemen Road. The siblings will cross paths mid-air in what organizers describe as a display of precision, courage and trust.

The Criss Cross Skywalk will serve as the centerpiece of UTC’s annual holiday celebration. The walk marks Lijana Wallenda’s first hometown appearance on the wire since her 2017 accident.
